Key Stage 1 Leader


We are seeking an experienced and motivated Key Stage 1 Leader to lead high-quality teaching and learning across KS1 in line with the National Curriculum of England. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership, ensuring high standards in curriculum delivery, assessment and pupil outcomes.

The role involves supporting and mentoring teachers, overseeing curriculum planning and assessment, and monitoring students progress to ensure strong foundations in early reading, phonics, numeracy and child wellbeing. The Key Stage 1 Leader will promote inclusive practice and ensure a nurturing, safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils.

Working closely with staff, parents and relevant support services, the successful candidate will help meet the needs of every child and support their academic, social and emotional development, laying secure foundations for lifelong learning.

The role requires excellent classroom practice, strong leadership and communication skills, and a firm commitment to inclusive education, safeguarding and continuous improvement. Qualified teacher status and solid experience in Key Stage 1 are essential; prior leadership or phase coordination experience is desirable.
We are looking for a reflective practitioner who works collaboratively, contributes positively to the wider life of the school, and demonstrates a strong commitment to student wellbeing and ongoing professional development.
